Two shops burgled

Coimbatore: Burglars broke into two firms, including a cellphone shop, on Friday night in the city and decamped with valuables. According to the police, burglars gained entry into the shop on Huzur Road by removing the ventilator frame and decamped with 20 cellular phones, SIM cards and lap top computers.

The Race Course police have registered a case.

In another incident, burglars gained entry into a shop dealing with wholesale trade of tailoring materials on Big Bazaar Street and decamped with the cash box.
