A.T. Duraikumar assumed office as the Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore Rural District, on Friday. He succeeds P.C. Thenmozhi.

Additional quota

of kerosene

Under the Public Distribution System (PDS), additional quota of kerosene has been sanctioned for cardholders (who had opted for Kerosene) in urban and rural pockets.

A release from Collector Neeraj Mittal, said the Government has ordered additional sanction of two litres of kerosene for cardholders living in District Headquarters, Corporation, Municipal and Town Panchayat limits and one litre for cardholders in rural areas. The additional sanction was being reached to the Fair Price shops.

All eligible cardholders with kerosene as the commodity option can avail of the additional sanction on or before June 30.
