KOCHI: A Syndicate sub-committee of the Cochin University of Science and Technology will soon recommend whether the disciplinary action taken against employees in connection with the admission scam should be revoked. The Vice-Chancellor will take a final decision on the suspension of employees based on the report given by the sub-committee. A Syndicate meeting held here on Saturday decided to seek an explanation from the Head of Electronics Department on how a girl who did not qualify the eligibility test and the Common Admission Test was given admission in the department last year. The meeting also approved the recommendations made by a Syndicate sub-committee that probed the admission scam.
