Staff Reporter
Thiruvananthapuram: The Rural police have arrested three more persons in connection with the recent instances of dacoity during night reported from the suburban areas of the district. Deputy Superintendent of Police, Attingal, B. Sasidharan said the suspects were members of the same migrant group from Tamil Nadu who were arrested in this connection on Friday. The police said several gold necklaces were recovered from their person at the time of the arrest. According to Mr. Sasidharan, the group entered homes at night by bending window bars or prising open doors. The burglars used pliers to cut gold ornaments of sleeping residents, he said. The police said nearly 20 cases, some of them reported in 2004, have been traced to the gang. The cases detected were those reported from Aryanadu, Nedumangadu, Nemom and Pappanamcode.
