KOCHI: A seminar on lie-detector tests such as polygraph, narco-analysis and brain-mapping will be held in Kochi on July 15. The seminar will focus on how the tests work and the legal and social relevance of the tests, the organisers, said Muttath Knowledge Management Consultancy and Allies Services. The seminar will also discuss the effectiveness of the tests as investigative tools, the constitutionality and evidentiary value of the tests, and the social and psychological impact of the tests on victims, informants, complainants, accused, criminals and investigative officers. The seminar is intended for lawyers, investigative officers, court officers, law faculty and social activists.
