The MES functionaries said the centre, being set up in association with Modern Montessori International (MMI), Gurgaon, and MMI, London, will be the first of its kind in the State.

Agreement signed

The agreement for setting up the centre at Tirur was signed between the MES and the MMI at a programme held here on June 19. The agreement was signed by Fazal Gafoor, general secretary, MES, Kerala, and Dr. Chandroo, CEO, MMI Singapore.

The training course at the centre will begin from July 17. Girls who have passed the Plus Two are eligible to apply.

Special consideration will be given to those who have passed pre-degree.

Those completing the nine-month teachers' training course will be awarded a diploma certificate by the MMI London. Teacher placement service will be offered too.
