CHENNAI: The SRM Institute of Science and Technology (Deemed University), Kattankulathur, plans to enter the field of commercial pilot programmes with the University of South Australia, Adelaide. A four-member team from the Australian University, comprising Robin King, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Andrew Nafalski, professor of Electronics Engineering, Stephen Hamnett, Director International Affairs and Brad Williams, Manager Marketing - International Development visited the SRM campus and held discussions with Chancellor T. R. Pachamuthu and others. The discussion centred on the Commercial Pilot Programme offered by the University of South Australia and on how to make the course available to the Indian students. A multi-disciplinary approach to education formed the basis for international understanding. Both universities aimed at establishing a cross-institutional relationship and are working towards signing an MOU in areas relating to faculty research programme and students exchange programme. Other areas of common interest were Transport Management, Sustainable Environment, Water Management and the IT.
