Pedestrians' woes

Pedestrians find it very difficult to cross the road in front of the University Library to the MLA hostel side. The number of accidents that occur near the Asan Square is enormous. An over bridge for pedestrians in absolutely necessary in front of the University library. The traffic through the service roads from VJT Hall to the PMG can be reduced by construction of a flyover above the under passage and connecting it to the bridge road behind the CSN stadium (Palayam) on the other side. The traffic police are seen on duty on some days for some time of the day at the Asan square circle area controlling this massive traffic. The difficulty of pedestrians including students and staff of MLA hostel, KPHCC and CSN stadium should be solved.

Traffic snarls

The road starting from Bommakkada junction, Karamana, up to railway over bridge on Karamana-Kunchalummoodu road, was being used as one way for a long time. Now, vehicles are allowed to pass through this narrow road from Bommakkada Junction to Poojappura side. This causes much difficult for the pedestrians and also lead to traffic congestion. The traffic controlling authorities are requested to revert to the one way system and put up a `No Entry' board on Bommakkada junction, on the N.H. road side.
