NIC to launch health policy for senior citizens

BANGALORE: National Insurance Company Ltd. (NIC) said that it would launch a health insurance product for senior citizens on October 1. Talking to reporters here on Monday, after launching the `Dhanvanthri Bima Policy,' jointly with State Bank of Mysore (SBM) for the latter's account holders, N. Ramasaamy, Chairman and Managing Director, NIC, said the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) was expected to give its approval soon for the senior citizens' health insurance policy.
