SBM launches health insurance policy

BANGALORE: State Bank of Mysore (SBM) and National Insurance Company Ltd. (NIC) have launched a health insurance policy exclusively for SBM account holders. Launching the policy here on Monday, SBM Managing Director Y. Vijayanand told presspersons that the policy would cover an account holder and his/her family members aged between three months and 60 years.

According to NIC Chairman and Managing Director V. Ramasaamy, the policy covers hospitalisation expenses of account holders and family members. The premium is eligible for relief under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act. The policy can be obtained from any SBM branch.
