ERODE: More than 100 people gathered before a private school on Monday morning urging the school management to take action against the headmistress. According to the police, the class teacher of Std. V warned Pasupathy, a student, who was talking to fellow students and thus, disrupting the class. Despite the warning, he kept on talking and the teacher took him to the headmistress.
Lay siege to school
The headmistress, it is said, beat him with a stick and ordered him to knee down for half an hour. The student told his father about the incident. On hearing about the beating, his father collected the people of the area and surrounded the school demanding that the headmistress tender an apology. They also wanted the school management to take action against the headmistress. The Correspondent of the school, who rushed to spot, pacified the crowd and said that action would be taken against the headmistress. Following this, the crowd dispersed.
