Na. D'Souza to preside over Kannada meet

MANGALORE: Kannada writer Na. D'Souza has been selected to preside over the All-India Kannada Cultural Convention 2006, to be held in Mumbai next month.

A press release from K.P. Manjunath Sagar, chairman of the convention committee here, says the two-day event is being organised by Hrudayavahini, a Kannada monthly, and Matunga Karnataka Sangha at Visvesvaraya Memorial Hall, Matunga, from July 1.

The works of Mr. D'Souza, who is from Sagar in Shimoga district, include 35 novels, six short stories and 10 pays.
