`Protest against film was intended to be peaceful'

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The All-India Christian United Front, which led the march to Prasad's IMAX on June 24 against the release of the movie, The Da Vinci Code, said on Monday that the protest was intended to be peaceful.

The Front said many organisations had marched to the theatre. "They pushed each other and one of the glass-windows was broken. However, the scene was displayed extensively in the media and the police booked cases against Christian leaders," the statement said.
