Cut in tax on hearing aids welcomed

KOCHI: The Association of Otolaryngologists of India, Kochi chapter, has welcomed a proposal in the State Budget, presented by Finance Minister Thomas Isaac recently, to lower sales tax on hearing aids to four per cent. Nadarajan N.J., president of the association, in a statement here on Monday, said this step would help a number of people with hearing disability.
