HANOI: The National Assembly of Vietnam elected Nguyen Tan Dung Prime Minister on Tuesday. Nguyen Minh Triet, Communist Party chief of Ho Chi Minh, was elected President. Over 92 per cent of the deputies voted for Mr. Dung. He is considered a representative of the younger generation of Vietnamese leaders, who support economic reform and attach importance to develop economy and intensify anti-corruption fight. ``Growth in quantity should be in line with enhancement in quality, efficiency and competitiveness of the economy. We should attach economic growth to cultural development and human development,'' he said at the 9th session of the 11th National Assembly. Xinhua
