Training

The Multi Disciplinary Training Centre, Office of the Commissioner for Khadi and Village Industries, will conduct a two-month training programme on making of bakery products from July 1 for educated unemployed youths and housewives. Details can be had on ph. 25650285.

Phone-in programme

All India Radio, Bangalore, will broadcast a phone-in programme on June 28 from 9.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. wherein Sriganesh of Nethradhama will answer queries of listeners on eye care and eye problems. Listeners who wish to ask queries can contact ph. 22370477.

Applications invited

The Department of Apparel Technology and Management of Bangalore University has invited applications from candidates who have passed M.Sc. Apparel Technology and Management, M.Sc. Textiles and Clothing, MFA, M. Tech. Textiles, M.B.A. with knowledge of textiles and apparel technology or Master's Degree in related subjects for full time guest faculty on consolidated pay for the year 2006-07. Preference will be given to candidates with Ph.D. or who have cleared the NET. The last date for applying is July 15. Science programme

The Bangalore Association for Science Education will start weekend interactive sessions on science for high school students at the Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium on July 2. Scientific principles will be discussed by non-formal methods, with emphasis on experiments and problem solving.
