NEW DELHI:
The Empowered Committee for Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) under the Union Rural Development Ministry approved 134 rural road projects costing Rs. 494.87 crore for Bihar.
Covering 1,264 km, these projects will be executed by four Central agencies, including the Central Public Works Department , the National Building Construction Corporation, the National Hydero-Electric Power Corporation, and the National Project Construction Corporation, a spokesperson said.
The CPWD will execute 17 road projects at a cost of Rs. 7213.39 lakh over 157 km in Begusarai and Darbhanga districts, while the NBCC will execute 90 road projects costing Rs. 34644.083 lakh in Araria, Bhagalpur, Jamui, Khagaria, Kishanganj, Madhepura, Munger, Purnia, Saharsa, Sheikhpura, and Supaul districts.
