Lalu kin shot dead

PATNA: A Rashtriya Janata Dal leader, Sonelal Yadav, said to be a distant relative of Railway Minister Lalu Prasad, was gunned down at Mirganj Bazaar in Gopalganj district on Wednesday.

Mr. Sonelal Yadav, who was shot by three motorcycle-borne men, died on way to hospital. He is a relative of RJD MP Shubash Yadav, who is the brother-in-law of Mr. Prasad.

Locals protested the killing by closing the bazaar and blocking the Mirganj-Gopalganj Road.
