Tatas to explore investment avenues in Tamil Nadu

EXPLORING AVENUES: Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata calling on Union Communication and Information Technology Minister Dayanidhi Maran in New Delhi on Wednesday. The group has indicated that it will conduct a survey in Tamil Nadu to explore the avenues for investment in the State.

New Delhi: The Tata Group, the country's premier industrial house, will conduct a survey in Tamil Nadu to explore the avenues for investments in the state.

The group chairman, Ratan Tata, gave an indication of this during his meeting with Union Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dayanidhi Maran. According to a press release, he indicated this in response to an invitation from the Union Minister to the Tata Group to invest in the State.

Stating that Mr. Tata called on the Minister at hisoffice here, the release said the discussions lasted for about an hour. Mr. Tata assured Mr. Maran that the company's survey team would visit Tamil Nadu and submit a report.
