Prithvi on song

HYDERABAD: K. Prithvi Reddy (144, 17x4, 1x6) helped Galaxy score 297 for four against P&T Colony in an `A' Division (three-day) League cricket championship match here on Wednesday.

The scores: `A' Division (three-day) League: India Cements 408 for six declared and 38 for drew with SCRSA 261 (R.A. Vishwanath 72, Khaji Obaidullah 63, Inder Sekhar Reddy five for 90).Evergreen 125 and 156 for five (Avtar Singh 48) drew with Andhra Bank 258. BDL 312 and 158 for four (Abhishek Ponia 64, Imran Khan 79).

`A' Division (two-day): Galaxy 297 for four (Avinash Reddy 85, K. Prithvi Reddy 144, Satish 44 not out) vs P&T Colony.

Archana in final

M. Archana of Reserve Bank of India defeated teammate Prameela 25-3, 25-4 to set up a title clash with Rajini of SBI, who downed Indira 25-9, 25-3 in the women's singles of the Y. Tharak Nath memorial inter-bank carrom tournament here.

Delhi in semifinals

Delhi defeated Tamil Nadu by 117 runs to enter the semifinal of the sixth National indoor cricket tournament here.

United Academy wins

United Sports Academy defeated SAAP Academy 1-0 in the first-leg quarterfinal of the SAAP prize money football tournament for inter-coaching centres here. Zarick scored the match-winner in the 22nd minute.
