Close call for GMCC

Salem: GMCC defeated AVRCC by one wicket in the TNCA-SDCA first division league here recently.

The scores (first division): AVRCC 138 in 43 overs (T. Gopal 40, Sivakumar four for 31, M. Kannan four for 21) lost to GMCC 139 for nine in 28 overs (Prakash 40, Subramani five for 23).

Second division: Rajagopalan CC 101 in 41 overs lost to KPSC 102 for four in 23 overs (M. Raja 53 not out).

Blue Star CC 217 for nine in 42 overs (Saravanan 67) bt Students Jr. CC 167 in 42 overs (Balachandar 40).
