Gunasekaran wins title

THANJAVUR: K. Gunasekaran of Kamala Subramaniam MHSS won the boys' title in the above 51kg category in the weightlifting level- I competition conducted by the York Gym and Thanjavur Unit of SDAT here at the Annai Sathya Stadium recently.

Other results: (all winners): Boys: 47 kg: Sureshnathan (Thirumagal MHSS); 51 kg: A. Sheikh Alaudin (Thirumagal MHSS).

Girls: Open: N. Meenakshi (P.V. Selvaraj GHSS).

Men: 56kg: Dilip (Government Arts College, Kumbakonam); 62kg: T.M. Kesavan (Government Arts College, Kumbakonam); above 62 kg: R. Mahendran (Poondi College).

Women: 53kg: V. Sukanya (Government Arts College, Kumbakonam); 58kg: R. Pauline (Government Arts College, Kumbakonam); above 58kg: R. Umadevi (Government Arts College, Kumbakonam). — Sports Reporter
