Youth snatches chain from woman in HSR Layout

BANGALORE: A youth, riding a motorcycle, snatched a gold chain estimated at Rs. 30,000 from a woman in Madivala police station limits on Tuesday evening.

The police said that around 6 p.m., the youth snatched the chain from Swathi while she was walking on 8th Main, 20th Cross, Sector-7, HSR Layout. On a complaint by Swathi, the Madivala police have registered a case.

Recovered

The Koramangala police have arrested 12 persons on charge of robbery and theft and recovered from them gold ornaments, five motorcycles and mobile phones, all estimated at Rs. 6.50 lakh, and Rs. 2.50 lakh in cash. The police said they had solved 10 cases of theft, vehicle theft and robbery reported from Koramangala, HAL, Adugodi, Madivala and Vijayanagar police station limits.

Gold chains recovered

In another case, R.T. Nagar police have recovered two gold chains with the arrest of Seru (32) of Ganganagar slum. He had allegedly stolen the chains from a jewellery shop on 5th Main, Ganganagar.
