Now, it is golf tourism
The Trivandrum Golf Club, claimed to be the oldest golf course outside Great Britain, is to be promoted as an important attraction of a niche segment Golf Tourism.
Plans have been chalked out to create awareness and promote the Trivandrum Golf Club as a heritage landmark.
The unique features of the club, including the role of the royal family of erstwhile Travancore and its members in setting up and promoting the golf club, would be highlighted through a series of promotions at the State and national levels.
The club will join hands with Kerala Tourism and the Union Government to promote golf tourism among the high spending tourists.
Club authorities say globetrotting golfers would be invited and their patronage will also be solicited for the promotion of Golf Tourism.
