KARIMNAGAR: The ambitious project of lifting water from the Lower Manair Dam (LMD) reservoir in Karimnagar town to Sri Rajeshwara Swamy Devasthanams in Vemulawada temple town to meet the drinking water requirements would begin within another month. It is proposed to take up the project at a cost of Rs. 9.34 crores with Vemulawada Devasthanam's contribution of Rs. 3 crores with the remaining being State Government's assistance. Already the tender process for the project had begun. Every day about 80,000 litres of water would be lifted to provide drinking water to the Vemulawada temple shrine and adjoining six villages.
