BANGALORE: What is this fascination among Chief Ministers for the city state of Singapore?

Everyone from Ramakrishna Hegde to S.M. Krishna has visited Singapore at least once and each one of them wants Bangalore to become like that city.

The latest to do so is Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy who is off to Singapore on a three-day official visit.

Well, some of our malls and multiplexes can look straight out of Singapore, but not our roads and traffic. Because public transportation other infrastructure are not political issues here.
