Kidambi shares lead

NEW DELHI: S. Kidambi defeated Guillermo Buxade Roca of Spain to share the lead with Macedonia's Aleksander Colovic in the second Sort Open chess tournament in Sort, Spain, on Wednesday.

Both the players have three points from three rounds.

The results involving Indians: Third round: Vladimir Burmakin (Rus, 2.5) drew with Abhijeet Gupta (2.5); Guillermo Buxade Roca (Esp, 2) lost to S. Kidambi (3); Dinesh Kumar Sharma (1.5) lost to Julio Granda Zuniga (Per, 2.5); Vishal Sareen (2) drew with Artur Kogan (Isr, 2); Sergei Krivoshy (Ukr, 2) drew with Eesha Karavade (2); Mathias Roeder (Ger, 2.5) bt Sahaj Grover (1.5); Carolina Lujan (Arg, 2) bt Abhyudaya Rajpurohit (1); Pedro Beltre (Dom, 1) lost to Tania Sachdev (2); G.N.
