Andhra teams begin well

VISAKHAPATNAM : Andhra beat Pondicherry in the inaugural matches in both the men's and women's section in the Minister's Cup 23rd South India kabaddi championships at the Swarna Bharati Indoor Stadium on Thursday evening.

The Andhra men won 50-18 (HT: 25-4), while the women scored a big 79-6 (HT: 44-1) victory,

The chairman of the Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority, P.S.N. Ravi, inaugurated the championships.
