MCD blacklists 18 NGOs

`Inquiries against 45 others are still on'

NEW DELHI: The Municipal Corporation of Delhi on Wednesday blacklisted 18 non-government organisations (NGOs) after they were found guilty of taking grants from the civic body through fraudulent means, misusing public money or not working properly.

The blacklisted NGOs are New Education Centre (Sandesh Vihar), Vatsalya Mahila Mandal (Salimar Bagh), Bhartiya Jain Sanskriti Sewa Sansthan (Rohini), All India Maheshwari Sadbhawana Educational, Vocational and Social Welfare Society (Old Rajinder Nagar), Balken-ji-Bari International (Inderpuri), Welfare Organisation (Baljeet Nagar), Kasturi Sewa Sansthan (Uttam Nagar) and Shiksha Kalyan Parishad (Meenakshi Garden).
