Panel shelves Neyveli visit

CUDDALORE: The Parliamentary Committee, scheduled to visit Neyveli on Thursday to review the performance of the NLC, had deferred its trip.

It was said to have cancelled its visit in the face of threat from trade unions that they would stage a demonstration against its coming. However, the members held discussions with the NLC authorities in Chennai, said S. Rajavanniyan, general secretary of the Labour Progressive Front.
