COLOMBO: As the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM) meeting in Oslo ended without any decision on Thursday, Colombo said any change in its composition would have to be mutually acceptable. Peace Secretariat Secretary-General Palitha Kohona said the demand by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam for withdrawal of the monitors of Nordic countries from the SLMM was an agony to Norway as well as the European Union. Dr. Kohona said the Sri Lankan Government and the LTTE had agreed on the composition of the SLMM on mutual consent and therefore any change should be mutually acceptable. He said there were violations at the beginning of the ceasefire agreement. Political leaders were killed by the LTTE and now it targeted high profile personalities. On the Oslo meeting, he said Sri Lanka was expecting Norway's response.
