Rain plays truant

Monsoon arrived a little late than usual this year. Yet its initial vigour raised hopes of copious rain. One even thought that the city reservoirs would be filled to the brim. It's not that the month had been devoid of rain. It did rain but the downpour hardly lasted for more than 20 minutes on an average. And the rest of the time, the city was rather unusually hot and humid. Now, this is not what one expects of the monsoon.

When will the real monsoon show up? Well, this is one question being asked by one and all.
