The royal row

There is something about royalty that has an endearing appeal. Be it the romance of Prince Charles and Diana or closer home the capers of Mukarram Jah Bahadur and his numerous consorts. Everything concerning the royalty is news. The other day when Manoliya Onur, the estranged wife of Mukarram Jah, won the long drawn legal battle for maintenance the Hyderabadis lapped up the details with bated breath. Will the flamboyant Jah cough up the huge maintenance and mehr awarded by the family court? Or will he go in appeal? These are the questions doing the round. Whatever happens there is no dull moment when it comes to the Nizam and his family.
