Chikungunya scare

The latest health scare in the city is the Chikungunya virus. In spite of there not being a single confirmed case in the city for the last three months hospices are teeming with people suffering from fever with symptoms much similar to the regular viral fever with joint pains.

The result has been that private clinics and nursing homes are busy too.

People, who earlier would have stayed home with a few paracetamol tablets, too are rushing to them, only to be branded `suspected Chikungunya' cases.
