HYDERABAD
: The Musheerabad police on Thursday arrested Nitish, (21), and four of his friends on charge of stealing mobile phones and motorcycles to impress girls. Six stolen mobile phones and four two-wheelers were recovered from their possession.
Son of a private firm accountant living in Gemini Colony of Musheerabad, Nitish discontinued his diploma course in polytechnic from a college in Khammam some five years ago. Recently, he also quit his job in a factory.
"I saw girls, especially near colleges, moving around with boys having motorcycles. Similar scenes in films led me to believe that girls liked boys roaming on bikes and using stylish mobile phones," he said when produced before media persons.
His friends have been identified as Surender Goud, Simon, Mahesh and Mohd. Ghouse.
