Bangalore: The postgraduate common entrance test (PGCET) for MBA and MCA courses for the academic year 2006-07 will be held on Saturday at 20 centres across the State. The MBA test will be held between 10.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m., while the MCA test will be held from 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. According to a press release here on Thursday, 9,500 Karnataka and 350 non-Karnataka candidates, and 1,800 Karnataka and 600 non-Karnataka candidates will appear for the MBA and MCA tests respectively. Candidates who have not received admission tickets may log on to "www.vtu.ac.in" or "pgcet.vtu.ac.in", which displays the centre-wise list of candidates appearing for the examination. In case, candidates have not received the admission ticket for the test or if the seat number has not been displayed on the website, such candidates can go to the nearest examination centre with proof of having applied to PGCETand contact the chief superintendent at least an hour before the test. They will be permitted to appear for the examination after verification and confirmation of having applied for the test.
