Man who dressed as woman to rob people held

BANGALORE: The Cubbon Park police have arrested a 31-year-old man who used to dress as a woman and rob people of cash and valuables.

The police said Sriram of Dasarahalli dressed himself as a woman during the night and with the help of his accomplices waylaid people before robbing them of gold ornaments, mobile phones and cash.

His accomplices called him "Rami" while he was in a woman's attire, the police said.

By arresting Sriram and his two accomplices, the police have recovered 11 mobile phones and gold ornaments, valued at Rs. 3 lakh in all. The names of his accomplices were given as S. Raja (23) of Gandhinagar and P. Pradeep (19) of Kalkere.
