Probe against Acharya's son

BANGALORE: Minister for Medical Education V.S. Acharya has announced that a private inquiry would be held into the alleged incident involving his son and two journalists reported from Manipal in Uduipi District.

The Minister said the inquiry would be regarding the conduct of his son Kiran Acharya who allegedly assaulted two journalists at the Kasturba Medical College (KMC) hospital at Manipal on Thursday. To a question, the Minister said he obtained details about the incident. The hospital authorities would also inquire into the issue, he said.
