United Bank selects HP and Infosys for IT deal

BANGALORE : United Bank of India (UBI) has selected Hewlett-Packard (HP) and Infosys Technologies to deploy information technology infrastructure and applications for 69 months. Under the contract, HP will implement and manage Infosys' Finacle Core Banking Solution (CBS) in 600 UBI branches. HP will provide adaptive IT infrastructure and data centre services which will help reduce risk, improve security and lower management and operational costs for the bank.
