Science programme for school students to be launched today

KOTTAYAM: The Scientific Aptitude Development Programme (SADP), organised jointly by the various science departments at St. Berchmans' College, Changanassery, will be launched on Saturday.

According to Kuruvilla Joseph, coordinator, the year-long programme, being held consecutively for the second year, hopes to impart scientific aptitude in 50 select students, selected from nearby schools.

The students would have the opportunity to work on projects under eminent teachers of the college and also to conduct experiments at the college laboratories. Discussions, visit to various laboratories, science picnic, students seminars, astronomy, etc., would also be held as part of the programme, he said.

This year's SADP would be inaugurated on Saturday by Sabu Thomas of the School of Chemical Sciences at Mahatma Gandhi University.
