Steps to check mosquito menace promised

KADAPA: Proddatur municipal chairperson E. Malleswari on Friday promised concerted efforts to check mosquito menace in Proddatur. At the municipality's emergency meeting here, councillor E.V. Sudhakar Reddy lamented rampant mosquito menace due to silting of canals leading to water stagnation. He urged house owners, who covered drains with stone slabs, to cooperate with regard to desilting of drains.
