KOLKATA: The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) president, Jagmohan Dalmiya, in a written statement on Friday condemned BCCI's latest bid to haul him and the State association allegedly for not replying to the second show-cause notice. He also threatened to move the court to counter the board. The CAB received two letters from the BCCI on Thursday. One stated that since the CAB president had not given a reply to the second show-cause notice issued by the Board on April 15, the matter would be referred to the disciplinary committee. The second letter conveyed the decision of the BCCI finance committee that the subsidies and payments meant for CAB would be stopped till the latter furnished the accounts. The letter also said that the Board would debit an amount of Rs. 40 crores to the State association as Mr. Dalmiya had failed to furnish the details of the bank account - No. 1223 - at the Bhawanipur branch of Indian Overseas Bank. The CAB president said BCCI "did not furnish supporting documents'' while levelling a number of accusations against him. He said that the board "partly showed and partly held back'' documents when his representative visited the BCCI's treasurer's office at Chennai on May 5. - Principal Correspondent
