Reshuffle in MCD

NEW DELHI: The Municipal Corporation of Delhi on Friday effected changes in the departments allotted to Additional Commissioners as a new IAS officer joined the civic body.

A B Shukla, the new Additional Commissioner, has been asked to take charge of the civic body's education department and Rohini and Narela Zones.

Raj Mohan Singh will handle the Labour Department and Headquarters. He will also handle departments which check unauthorised construction, election office, planning and monitorings. Shahdara (North) and Shahdara (South) Zones comes under him.

M K Parida will be the new Additional Commissioner in the Engineering department and will look after town planning, architecture, horticulture and IT wings. He will also be in charge of Central and South Zones.

The new Additional Commisioner for the Slum and JJ Department will be R M Pillai, who will also administrate Karol Bagh and Civil Lines Zones.

The Additional Commissioner for Press and Informatiion Office and Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar will be H B Sharma. . -PTI
