Six houses collapse due to rains
Mumbai:
At least six cases of house collapses were reported from different parts of the city and its suburbs during the last 24 hours due to rains.
The wall of a room at a chawl near Bheemnagar slums on Jerbal Wadia road collapsed, while part of the balcony of a four-storeyed building on Sona Aiyyari Marg in Mahim also came down. However, no one was injured in both these incidents.
At Ghatkopar (West), a compound wall of V.M. Pawar chawl on LBS road caved in upon three rooms in the chawl. The fourth incident was reported from Kurla (West) where a wall collapse incident occurred in the Murli Milan Society.
A wall collapse incident was also reported in the Gutamnagar Chawl at Chembur. There were no reports of any injuries in any of these incidents. - UNI
