Congress to hold Chief Ministers meet

NEW DELHI: The Congress is to hold a meeting of the Chief Ministers of the States ruled by it to discuss price rise.

Sources in the party said it was likely to be held as early as next week.

At the Congress Working Committee meeting on Thursday it was suggested that the Prime Minister call a meeting of the Chief Ministers and ask them to take effective steps against hoarders and profiteering. Some committee members argued that State Governments had a role under the Essential Commodities Act to move against hoarders.
