For PGCET, about 95 per cent of the 9,500 Karnataka and 350 non-Karnataka registered candidates turned up for MBA while a good proportion of the 1,800 Karnataka and 600 registered non-Karnataka students took the test for MCA at 20 centres across the State. The test was for admission to the university departments of Bangalore, Mangalore, Tumkur, Gulbarga, Kuvempu, Mysore, Karnatak, Karnataka State Women's University, VTU, and seats surrendered by the colleges affiliated to these universities. Conducted by the Karnataka Private Postgraduate Colleges' Association, KMAT-2006 will decide who gets the 7,000 MBA and 2,800 MCA seats available. Admit cards are available on www. kmat2006.com.
