Balasaraswathi award for two dancers

CHENNAI: The Balasaraswathi Award was conferred on young dancers Meenakshi Raghavan and N. Anusha at a function organised by Sri Ragam Fine Arts on Saturday. The award, named after the Bharatanatyam exponent, was conferred by Rama Narayanan, president of the Tamil Nadu Iyal Isai Nadaga Mandram. State Government was doing its best to encourage young talent in various forms of arts and culture. A cultural performance by students of Ms. Raghavan was held.
