ISLAMABAD: The Jamaat-e-Islami, a consitituent of the six-party Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal, on Sunday increased its anti-Musharraf rhetoric, saying the President deserved to go for siding with the U.S in the war on terror and for sending the Army into the frontier areas of Pakistan. At a public meeting here, JI chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed said all JI members of Parliament were prepared to give up their seats in the National Assembly in protest, and that they had already handed him their resignations.
MMA unhappy
The MMA was among the parties that endorsed General Musharraf as President but was unhappy with him because of his alliance with the U.S, and for his failure to keep his promise to them that he would give up his uniform by the end of 2004.
