Chanda shares lead with two

NEW DELHI: Sandipan Chanda defeated Pascal Coupet to share the lead with two others with three points after the third round of the 34th World Open chess tournament in Philadelphia on Saturday.

The results (involving Indians):

Third round: P. Magesh Chandran (2) lost to Vadim Milov (3); Sandipan Chanda (3) bt Pascal Coupet (2); Timothy Taylor (1.5) lost to S. Vijayalakshmi (2.5); S. Meenakshi (2) drew with Alonso Zapata (1.5); Slavisa Peric (2) drew with D. Harika (2); Abhijit Kunte (2) bt William Moreno (1.5); Swati Ghate (2) bt Eric Hansen (1).
