Four new trains to be introduced, some others to be extended

HUBLI: South Western Railway will be introducing four new trains, extend some trains and increase the frequency of some others, according to a release.

The trains that will be introduced shortly are Yeshwanthpur-Ajmer Garib Nawaz weekly express (No. 6532) via Guntakal, Dharmavaram, Hubli. It will leave Yeshwanthpur on Friday at 5.35 p.m. and reach Ajmer at 5.30 p.m. on Sunday. It will the take the route of the Ajmer-Bangalore-Ajmer express trains (Nos. 6509/ 6510).

In the return direction the Ajmer- Yeshwanthpur Garib Nawaz weekly express (No. 6531) will leave Ajmer on Monday at 5.50 a.m. and reach Yeshwanthpur at 6 a.m. on Wednesday.

The Kochuveli- Bangalore weekly express (6316) will leave Kochuveli on Sunday at 2.15 p.m. and arrive at Bangalore at 7.15 a.m. on Monday.

There will be no commercial halts in Bangalore division. In the return direction, the Bangalore- Kochuveli weekly express (6315) will leave Bangalore at 6.55 p.m. on Monday and reach Kochuveli at 11.15 a.m. on Tuesday.

The Darbanga- Bangalore weekly express (5277) will leave Darbanga at 10 a.m. on Tuesday and reach Bangalore city at 4.50 p.m. on Thursday. It will take the route of the Bangalore- Patna Sangamitra express (Nos. 6595/ 6596). In the return direction, theBangalore-Darbanga weekly express will leave Bangalore at 6.45 p.m. on Saturday and reach Darbanga at 1.20 p.m. on Monday.

The Tata Nagar-Yeshwanthpur weekly express (2889) will leave Tata Nagar at 6.15 p.m. on Friday and reach Yeshwanthpur at 4.55 a.m. on Sunday. It will have commercial halts at Bangarpet and Krishnarajapuram stations. The Yeshwanthpur- Tata Nagar weekly express (2890) will leave Yeshwanthpur at 8.30 a.m. on Monday and reach Tata Nagar at 7.15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Extension

The trains whose services will be extended shortly are the Vasco-da-Gama-Vijayawada Amaravathi express (Nos. 7227/ 7228) now running four days a week. It will be extended to Howrah duly converting it as a superfast express with new train numbers 2847 and 2848.

The Howrah-Vasco-da-Gama superfast express (2847) will leave Howrah at 11.50 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and reach Vasco-da- Gama at 2.15 p.m. on the second day respectively.

The Vasco-da-Gama-Howrah superfast Eepress (2848) will leave Vasco-da-Gama at 7.50 a.m. on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and arrive at Howrah at 10.30 p.m. on the second day respectively.

The Yeshwanthpur-Bijapur triweekly express (6513/6514) will be extended to Bagalkot after the gauge conversion of Bijapur-Bangalkot section on the Hubli division.

Similarly, the Solapur-Bijpaur daily passenger (Nos. 385/ 386) will be extended to Bagalkot.

The Bangalore-Visakhapatnam express (8563/ 8564) will be extended to Bhubaneswar as a daily express train with revised train numbers 8463 and 8464.

The Bhubaneshwar-Bangalore city daily express (8463) will depart from Bhubaneswar at 4.30 a.m. and reach Bangalore at 10 a.m. In the return direction, the Bangalore city- Bhubaneswar daily express (8464) will leave Bangalore at 2 p.m. and reach Bhubaneswar at 8 p.m.

SWR has already extended the services of Mysore-Kumbakonam daily express (6232/6231) till Mayiladuthurai with effect from June 17.

The Kumbakonam-Mysore daily express (6232) will leave Kumbakonam at 6.05 a.m. and reach Mayiladuthurai at 7.25 a.m. Mayiladuthurai- Kumbakonam daily express (6231) will leave Mayiladuthurai at 5.30 p.m. and reach Kumbakonam at 6.25 p.m., the release said.

Frequency

SWR has also decided to increase the frequency of the Bangalore-Ernakulam weekly express (2683/ 2684). It will run as biweekly train shortly. Similarly, the Bangalore-Guwahati biweekly express (2509/ 2510) will be converted into a triweekly, according to the release.
